What if the next breakthrough in medicine doesn’t begin with a newly synthesized molecule—but with the extraordinary complexity of nature?

At HerbGreen, we believe the future of medicine lies not only in discovering new molecules, but also in unlocking the therapeutic potential of nature’s sophisticated biological systems.

We are pioneering a new approach to pharmaceutical innovation—developing proprietary, multi-component botanical formulations into investigational medicines designed to address significant unmet medical needs.

Our ambition is not simply to develop one drug. It is to establish a new generation of botanical pharmaceutical innovation.

News

  1. HerbX reduced infectious SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, RSV and dengue virus in independent laboratory testing

In a 30-minute direct-contact suspension assay conducted by an independent U.S. laboratory, HerbX reduced the infectious titer of all four viruses tested, by more than 99% for three of the four.

Reduction in infectious virus after 30 minutes of direct contact, laboratory assay
    SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19
    >99%
    Influenza A H1N1
    >99.9%
    RSV Respiratory syncytial virus
    >90%
    Dengue virus Type 2 (DENV-2)
    >99.9%

The panel spanned four virus families: Coronaviridae (SARS-CoV-2), Orthomyxoviridae (influenza A H1N1), Pneumoviridae (RSV) and Flaviviridae (DENV-2). All four are enveloped viruses. DENV-2, a mosquito-borne flavivirus, falls outside the respiratory indications for which HerbX is being developed.

Activity was observed in each of the four HerbX production lots tested, manufactured between 2024 and 2026. Consistent biological activity from lot to lot is a key consideration in the development of multi-component botanical drugs.

Reductions in infectious titer ranged from greater than 90% (RSV) to greater than 99.9% (influenza A and DENV-2). The assay measures direct inactivation of virus in suspension; it does not assess antiviral activity in infected cells or in vivo, and the results do not establish clinical efficacy. Further nonclinical and controlled clinical studies are required. HerbX is an investigational drug candidate and has not been approved by the FDA.

A Different Approach to Drug Discovery

Nature Is Our Starting Point. Therapeutic Efficacy Is Our Goal.

Illustrative animation: one molecule-like figure drawn in text characters is joined by many others into a single rotating system; a trace beneath gains one peak per figure.

  1. For decades, pharmaceutical innovation has achieved extraordinary advances through the discovery and development of individual molecules.

  2. But nature offers another possibility: complex combinations of naturally occurring compounds that may possess valuable therapeutic properties.

  3. At HerbGreen, our core competence is botanical formulation innovation—the scientific design and development of sophisticated, multi-component botanical therapeutics.

We bring together botanical knowledge, modern analytical science, pharmaceutical development, and clinical research to investigate new therapeutic possibilities.

We believe medicines should not be judged by whether they originate in nature or a laboratory. What ultimately matters is whether they are safe, effective, and capable of improving patients’ lives.

The Case That Started Everything

He was getting worse on the treatment his doctor prescribed. Then he took an early prototype of HerbX.

  1. In March 2023, a 59-year-old man came down with COVID-19. For seven days he had a persistent fever and a worsening cough, and Tylenol wasn’t helping.

  2. On March 30, he saw his doctor. A CT scan showed an infection in the upper part of his lung, and he was started on a five-day course of IV Rocephin (ceftriaxone) and dexamethasone.

  3. Two days in, he was getting worse, not better. His fever reached about 104°F (40°C), he was struggling to breathe, and he was too weak to walk. Emergency hospital care was being considered.

  4. On April 1, he took his first dose of an early prototype of HerbX. Within 48 hours, he had made a full recovery.

Those 48 hours are why HerbGreen exists.

Today, HerbX is being investigated as a potential antiviral therapeutic, with laboratory evidence of activity against influenza A H1N1, SARS-CoV-2, RSV and dengue virus, and an ongoing FDA-engaged development program.

One patient’s recovery became a scientific mission.

Introducing HerbX

HerbX is an investigational drug candidate and has not been approved by the FDA.

The First U.S. Broad-Spectrum Antiviral Botanical Drug Candidate. A New Possibility in Antiviral Medicine.

Respiratory viral infections—including influenza and COVID-19—continue to create substantial challenges for patients and healthcare systems worldwide.

Although antiviral treatments exist for certain infections, significant unmet needs remain for therapies with broader antiviral coverage.

HerbX, HerbGreen’s lead investigational botanical drug candidate, is being developed to explore the potential of a proprietary multi-component formulation against respiratory viral infections.

Our development journey began with observations in patients rather than conventional laboratory screening.

Evidence to Date

Data sourceWhat was reportedDetails and limitations
In vitro · four viruses, direct contact In October 2026, independent U.S. laboratory testing found that HerbX reduced infectious SARS-CoV-2, influenza A (H1N1), RSV and dengue virus (DENV-2) in a 30-minute direct-contact assay. Reductions in infectious virus: SARS-CoV-2 >99%; influenza A >99.9%; RSV >90%; DENV-2 >99.9%, across four production lots made 2024–2026. Measures inactivation of virus on contact, outside cells; does not show activity in the body.
In vitro · influenza A H1N1 Recent preliminary in-vitro studies have demonstrated antiviral activity against influenza A H1N1. Concentration-dependent activity in MDCK cells across multiple tested lots: EC50 4.6–4.7 μg/mL; EC90 8.4 μg/mL (reported 1-log10 viral-yield reduction); SI50 >5.3. In separate reported cell-based testing, aqueous HerbX showed a CC50 of ≥1,200 μg/mL.
Retrospective case records HerbGreen has retrospectively documented 23 individuals with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, influenza, or respiratory illnesses of undetermined viral origin. The records describe reported symptom improvement following use of the botanical preparation, with no adverse effects reported in the available case documentation. Uncontrolled, retrospective observations; not a clinical study. Twelve of these cases, the earliest documented, have been submitted to FDA.

These early findings provide a foundation for further investigation. HerbX’s clinical safety and efficacy remain to be established through controlled studies.

Innovation From the Source

Building a Vertically Integrated Botanical Drug Platform

Botanical medicines present unique scientific and manufacturing challenges. Their complexity requires careful control of raw materials, processing methods, formulation consistency, and product quality.

  1. proprietary botanical sourcing
  2. formulation design
  3. analytical characterization
  4. quality systems
  5. capital-efficient prototype manufacturing

Schematic: text-character particles enter a vertical column, pass through five labelled stages that make them progressively ordered, and leave as uniform units.

HerbGreen is developing a vertically integrated pharmaceutical platform designed to address those challenges.

Our approach connects proprietary botanical sourcing, formulation design, analytical characterization, quality systems, and capital-efficient prototype manufacturing.

By developing these capabilities within HerbGreen, we aim to strengthen product consistency, protect proprietary knowledge, and establish a scalable foundation for future pharmaceutical innovation.

Intellectual Property

Patent pending: a utility patent application covering proprietary HerbX technology has been filed. HerbGreen also has proprietary formulation know-how and is building company-controlled manufacturing and quality systems.

Standardization & CMC

HerbGreen is building company-controlled sourcing, processing, analytical characterization and formulation-consistency capabilities, including phytochemical profiling, HPTLC standardization and chemical-stability testing. A site has been secured, with agricultural processing permits in place, for a company-controlled manufacturing prototype intended to produce reproducible clinical-trial material.

We believe control over the source is the beginning of control over the medicine.

Beyond HerbX

One Discovery Is Only the Beginning.

HerbX is our first investigational drug candidate—but our vision extends far beyond antiviral medicine.

We aspire to build a biotechnology company capable of repeatedly discovering, designing, and developing innovative botanical formulations for important unmet medical needs.
